Cora Venus Lunny was born in Dublin, Ireland, where she grew up and developed her love for the violin and the wealth of works written for it.

After a brief detour in the film business she opted for  a career in music. Cora Venus first performed live as soloist on national television when she was five, playing a half sized violin.
